Bali Dogs Butchered Alive – With a rope around it’s neck, the dog in the photograph is hung from a tree and while still alive, a WOMAN begins hacking large strips of fur covered meat from the dog’s body. 70% of 100,000 dogs a year are  killed in Indonesia in this despicable manner, as shown in a undercover study conducted over two years by BAWA.

Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – May 13, 2004 – As the old saying goes – “Earth to Rosemary, you don’t have to work all the time”. Or perhaps a better one might be “The apple doesn’t fall very far from the tree”. In this case the tree would be “the proverbial good old Protestant work ethic”, as expounded by my well-meaning parents, who really did have to work a lot to keep our family finances intact.

Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – May 12, 2004 – I’m not a television addict – but I enjoy certain programs and try to catch them when I’m at home. When I was a kid our first television was a second hand floor model Admiral with rabbit ears, that never quite pointed in the right direction. It reminds me of a Mr. Bean episode when he had an absolutely hilarious half hour fight with a television.
