Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 43 – Today Iggy Oink is just curious if you ever think of pigs when you are at the grocery store. Do you walk up and down at the counter – looking at all the red and pink packages of meat wrapped up in clear plastic and labelled as bacon – loin – chop – ham or hocks and think “this” used to be a living, breathing being with a face, ears, eyes and a beating heart.

Do you ever wonder about the long truck ride to the slaughterhouse – the final walk down the loading chute to the killing floor. Can you hear the screams – smell the blood and feel the terror? Do you wonder about the person who wields the knife and think –  “this is not right – this was a living creature – how am I living in the world” – Iggy is just curious – that’s all …
