Night Will Fall – Dawn Will Break

Night Will Fall – Dawn Will Break

Night Will Fall – Dawn Will Break – there are so many unknowns in life that it is very satisfying and reassuring to remember that this constant is part of our daily routine. When we awaken in the morning we have 24 hours ahead of us. Some of this time will be devoted to work – leisure – meals – travel – family responsibilities and sleeping. What will you do with the 2 or 3 hours that belong to you?

Will you plunk down – exhausted – in front of the television and surrender to some favourite programming – read a book – call friends – go out to a favourite spot and meet a friend for coffee – catch up on chores or errands – nap – spend time with social media pals  – help your kids with school projects or plan a long overdue vacation?

We all make different choices. Eight years ago I became aware of global animal issues and I made a decision two years ago to start my animal awareness blog – A Beating Heart. Although I have many unwanted, graphic images in my mind – I have no regrets that I chose to become an animal activist. I am now conscious of the wrongs that are committed against our earth – disadvantaged people and animals each day in every country on the planet.

WHITE - SHEEP

Nothing is immune from human exploitation – greed – torture – poaching – experimentation – abuse – trafficking – hunting – capture – violation – encroachment and depravity.  It does not paint a very pretty picture of the human species. In our ignorance and arrogance we meddle with the atmosphere – our waterways – rainforests – polar ice caps – great plains – lush valleys – green fields and majestic mountains. Humans have NO “off” – “think” – “stop” or “wrong” switches.  We are just constant noise!

THINK - LISTEN

We will plunder anything within our grasp. If there is money to made or personal aggrandisement to be achieved then the destruction is swift – severe and brutal. Because I have chosen to “bear witness” to the perverse side of the human condition and the mindless cult of cruelty that exists globally – I have had to arm myself with a counter balance. This has been a recognition of just how many incredible people are striving every day to contribute to the ascendency of good. There are millions of us!

I have also had to learn to detach from the heart breaking videos and photographs that I see. I cannot help that particular situation or animal. What I can do is to patiently and consistently deliver a message of hope – faith – compassion – kindness – awareness – change and love to all whom I encounter – personally or through my blog.

TRAPPING - 5

I want to take a moment to say a simple “thank you” to everyone who shares – comments or likes my work. This is a passion that has firmly planted itself in my heart and grown roots into my soul. I have met incredible people with mighty hearts and I am grateful for every positive exchange and shared sentiment. From the negative comes an opportunity to learn tolerance.

THANKS - 3

For every animal whose suffering I see and whose life has been stolen too soon – I learn fresh resolve and determination. For people I meet whose thinking is evolving – I welcome them to a new way of being in the world. Do not have regrets for decisions you’ve made in the past – focus instead on what you can do today and tomorrow. Family and friends may mock you. Let them – this is your path.

This Is A Powerful Realization!
